The Swordfish VariPoint Mini dual powered sharpener has a unique combination of useful features, a sharpness control slider on the front, this enables you to select the point that you need - sharp for precision, or blunt for shading - or anywhere in between. This sharpener can be powered by 4 x AA size batteries and can also be powered from the USB port on your computer or any USB charging plug, USB cable included.

Another useful feature which is unique to this class of sharpener is once the shavings tray is opened, all power to the sharpener is automatically cut, so the blade unit cannot revolve, preventing injury. With the shavings tray removed, you’ll discover another feature that is most unusual in a sharpener in this class, the blade unit can be removed when blunt and replaced, giving the sharpener a new lease of life.

The performance of the VariPoint Mini is as impressive as its design features. It will produce a sharp point on a new, unsharpened, 8mm pencil in about 10 seconds. You will also find that, in addition to standard graphite pencils, it also gives excellent results with crayons, watercolour pencils, and even charcoal pencils.
